Bourzon is a capsule-shaped planet in the Sprix system that is known as the holy world of scurvoids. Other creatures are typically not welcome here, but worshippers of Scurvous are permitted. The world is divided into many different kingdoms, all of whom are expected to worship Scurvous or else face harsh persecution. The kingdoms are in constant political tension, as each have different views on the interpretations of the teachings of Scurvous and/or fundamentally different political viewpoints. Space travel is highly infrequent, with only a handful of ships per decade visiting the world. Typically these are migrant ships, but a large percentage of these ships are neogi traffickers looking for easy prey (see below).

Scholar of scurvoid culture Ivaria Kartensious of Prin wrote in 917 PR that the world is "an especially awful place that, tragically, was not dragged back to the Hells at the dawn of the modern era as it should have been."

Trafficking Epidemic[edit | edit source]

Neogi are a constant threat to life on Bourzon, having established a trade route between Bourzon and several other worlds. Every few years, they return in great numbers during periods of high political tension and make off with a sizeable proportion of the population of more powerful kingdoms while the governments of the less powerful kingdoms claim ignorance. The increasing regularity of neogi attacks and apparent negligence of "uninvolved" parties has led to a huge spike in civil unrest and riots are fairly constant globally.
