Femizons are a set of non-magical bipedal animals, sometimes including humans (though the distinction is usually made by humans, especially if they are devout), usually mammals, that have manifested/evolved separately across the galaxy but nonetheless very closely resemble one another. Femizons are considered analogues of one another, and although in many cases they are entirely different species, they are nevertheless often able to crossbreed, and indeed such intergalactic crossbreeding has supposedly taken place for billions of years. Their existence is a puzzle to many scientists and wizards, but each typically meets the usual criteria for divine convergence, whereby a species is guided to a specific path by one or more deities or their proxies. This form of divine convergence is known as femization. Around 30% of femizons are virtually indistinct from one another - the convergence in this case is described as "hyperfemization".

It should be noted that divine convergence does not mean "genetic plateau". Many species have femizons in their genetic ancestry, as they will naturally continue to evolve through various means. For example the ancestor of the Styracovolusian elf is the Styracovolusian femizon, a now-extinct species.
