An cosmologist's rough impression of the Holy Volcano's heat signature.

The Holy Volcano, formerly the Holy Mountain, is a Stable Outer Plane that was once home to a vast amount of celestial creatures and the majority of stable goddesses, including Galaxia, almost all of which where destroyed by the eruption, which began in Great Accord KY.

Description[edit | edit source]

The eponymous volcano that dominates all the layers of the plane is an erupting mountain, 2 AU tall. Rather than spilling lava from its crest, it fires a steady stream of plasma undergoing nuclear fusion, which is said to come directly from the Quasi-Elemental Plane of Radiance. The radiation from the eruption is so overpowering that it annihilates all creatures except those entirely immune to the effects of light and heat, passing through seemingly solid objects. Shadows cannot exist around the Holy Volcano and even creatures that are entirely immune to its effects cannot see anything but white. It is inhabited by very few creatures, including bodiless angels made of pure divine energy, that are said to gather around the edge of the volcano praying for the eruption to cease.
